The Thang

The Masters golf tournament will be staged for an 86th time at Augusta National in Augusta, Georgia from April 7-10.
In honor of this year’s Masters we will complete 86 burpees….pair up, one skips down and sprints back, while the other does burpees until you get to 86.

Mosey to fountain…
The first of the year’s four major championships, the Masters was co-founded by Clifford Roberts and Bobby Jones, with the inaugural edition held in 1934. It is the only one of the four majors hosted at the same venue, the par-72 Augusta National Golf Club which was designed by Alister Mackenzie and Bobby Jones and opened for play in January 1933.

We are going to rotate through 4 “rounds” or exercises at this one venue
18 step ups each leg – run a lap return
18 pistol squats each leg – run a lap return
18 derkins – run a lap return
18 incline merkins – run a lap return

Staying at the same venue as the Masters…
* Jack Nicklaus became the oldest Masters winner in 1986 at the age of 46 with a record sixth triumph at Augusta National, a feat which has yet to be equalled. He has also posted the most top-five finishes at the Masters, with 15. Tiger Woods, aged 21, became the tournament’s youngest champion in 1997 in stunning fashion with a record low total of 18-under-par 270 and a record winning margin of 12 strokes.

We are going to honor Jack & Tiger by completing 46 squats…running down to lower performing 21 jump squats (Rinse & Repeat 2x)

Nomad casually asked YHC if I had a watch…Yikes it’s 6:15.

Challenged the PAX to complete some Mary OYO because the core is important 🙂

Announcements
* Last day to sign up for our GrowRuck and receive a t-shirt. (It is all about the t-shirt seriously why wait any longer?). Encouragement for PAX to sign-up – to just show up.
* Anniversary of F3NWA – we will celebrate next Saturday with a special black op AO (Lake Atalanta in Rogers) with a “story – time” by Stoner beatdown (can’t, shouldn’t, will not, better not miss this). Stoner said something about “bring and towel and change of clothes”…he’s a bit crazy right?
* Following our anniversary beatdown on the 16th, we have the Tango2 fun run hosted by Nomad and Half Baked.

Naked Man Moleskin

“The ministry of presence”
Job was a wealthy man who lost virtually everything, including his money, health, and even his children. “When three of Job’s friends heard of the tragedy he had suffered, they got together and traveled from their homes to comfort and console him . . . Then they sat on the ground with him for seven days and nights. No one said a word to Job, for they saw that his suffering was too great for words” (Job 2:11, 13 NLT).
