Introduction
Today we are going to be the underdog from Philadelphia, Rocky Balboa. He was a nobody from the rough side of the tracks. He didn’t have many people in his corner. He felt very alone. But he worked hard to get a shot. His first opponent was Apollo Creed. Creed represents that Voice which says you will never be good enough, that you don’t have what it takes. We are going to defeat that voice today.

Now, we are facing a new opponent, Clubber Lang. He represents our “Old Man” our “Former Self” which tells us we don’t deserve blessings and success and we’ll never change. But we need to crucify that former self so we can become a new creation. Apollo Creed comes along our side to help us- this is the confidence we gained from previous victories.

Now, we face the Russian Ivan Drago…He represents the challenge of outside forces trying to hinder us from moving forward to become the men God wants us to be. Sickness, Death, Discouragement, Financial Issues, Job Issues. We must be true to ourself and our Creator and fight through this pain to find freedom.
