The Thing- 25- 30 Min
Hebrews 12:1
Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us.
We will pair up and one man will be doing exercises with the Cinderblock and the other man running with bricks in hand.
We will talk about the weight being something that God is telling you needs to go. It could be a Sin. If so, as you wrestle with this weight, think of how free you could be if you could just let go of it. It might not be a Sin. It might be some other Hindrance that is getting in the way of your race- it is weighing you down. As you run with these Bricks, ask God to show you what it might be…something that is NOT a Sin, but nevertheless, taking you from God’s best.

Circle of Trust

Finish the Message:
Hebrews 12:2-6
…looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.
Consider him who endured from sinners such hostility against himself, so that you may not grow weary or fainthearted. In your struggle against sin you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding your blood. And have you forgotten the exhortation that addresses you as sons?
“My son, do not regard lightly the discipline of the Lord,
nor be weary when reproved by him.
For the Lord disciplines the one he loves,
and chastises every son whom he receives.”

Wonka gave a great personal testimony about getting set free from a weight in his life.
